I first stepped onto a yoga mat over 15 years ago, and for a while, yoga came in and out of my life as I went through school, the corporate world, and what some refer to as “early retirement,” oftentimes anchoring me through the challenges of each. In 2014, amidst a very stormy time in my life, I sat in a serious meditation course, which had a profound effect on my life. I sat and volunteered at many more after that. Then in 2018, I recommitted myself to yoga by taking a 200-hour YTT in beautiful Baja, Mexico, and once again, found myself transformed by the practice.
I offer classes inspired by the traditions and styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga, as well as meditation. Although over the years, I’ve also dabbled in Sivananda, Kundalini, and a bit of Acro Yoga! What brings me to my mat is how vast and infinite the potential of the practice is and how grounding and illuminating it is along the way. I find there’s very little space for avoidance on the mat, and as I continue to show up, focus and try, the teachings continue to unfold and enlighten.
I am very excited to be a part of the wonderful yoga community here at Harmony and I look forward to sharing the journey of exploration and discovery with all of you!
Off the mat, you may find me adventuring in a bakery, on a trail, or off a trail (mushrooms!), perhaps a rock wall, and on those hot summer days, a sweet swimming hole!
