3/17/2020: From our Heart to Yours

Taking care of our Harmony Family continues to be our priority. After a sleepless night and with a sorrow filled heart we are closing for the next week. This is a decision that has a big impact for the teachers and students who find sanctuary here.

I wanted to stay open as I know how powerful our practice of yoga and meditation is for all of us, particularly in a crisis. I also consider the financial implications for the 13 teachers who work here.Steph has done a great job at sanitizing the studio and we will take more time this week to wash walls and carpets as well.

We ask for your patience and support as we monitor what the best way forward is. We will reassess the situation on Monday March 23rd  and communicate with you via newsletter and Facebook. I am going to take the time to meditate, rest and seek insight and wisdom from the ancient teachings over the next few days. Our hearts are with other small businesses facing big decisions and uncertain futures. Remember to keep supporting local businesses: farmer’s market, corner stores, those in your community when you can.

My heart goes out to yoga studios and teachers that are closed and facing uncertain futures.

What is shining through for me is our basic goodness as people and our infinite capacity for kindness. There are challenging stories out there, but there is more good. More kindness. More love.

It’s through all of your support, thoughtful words and deep compassion that we are able to lean into trust that we will come through this together.

With love and gratitude,
Deborah
